PULPIT ROCK is where church services were held for the Wampanoag in the 17th century.
SENGEKONTACKET POND, named after the Wampanoag village of the same name, means "place where the brook flows into the river." Many Wampanoag of Sengekontacket refused to embrace Christianity and kept to their traditional beliefs.
